Just stopped in and chatted with Doug at Kanawha coin shop in Charleston. He said there will be a show next weekend in the area. Well, you can bet I'll be seeing him again. Thanks Big Dave.

Did you pick up anything?

I'm busting at the seams for the Charleston show next weekend. There's just not enough around here for my taste. Maybe Marietta in the first of April but its right on the heels of the Chas. show so funds will be weak.

The show Doug is refering to is sponsored by the Charleston and Kanawha Valley coin clubs. We really need a few good shows. There is no fee to get into the door, we depend on table fees and raffle tickets to support it. Lately, fewer and fewer tickets have been sold and its getting harder to get new members in the club. I'll be giving away free 2004 redbooks to young collectors and hope to see a good turnout.

See you there and who knows, maybe some other forum members will make the trip. Even at only 25 tables there are some VERY nice coins to be seen.

Didn't pick anything up yet but I will next time. I will definately do business with him again that's for sure. He's looking to buy and he has a lot of inventory behind the counter. I like those small old coin shops with big safes. He's been there for a while and that's good. Could not have met a nicer fella'.
