Should I BIN this?

Pretty sweet, but it's $90K. Just tuck it in your shirt pocket, and keep one in your glovebox in case of emergency.

Very cool. Had no idea that pewter was used for currency.

Lets hear from those in the know please.

Wow that dealer has some gems. I took a look at this auction here and my jaw just dropped. This is a gorgeous coin that I'm sure a lot of us would love to have in our collection. image

I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.

I think it's about time Brandon talked Adrian into putting the "best offer" option on some of his stuff.

  • That Continental Currency Dollar is so cool. I really hate the description, specifically

<< <i>I can still remember when I picked up my first Red Book of U.S. Coins and started flipping through the pages. One of the first coins I recall seeing and reading about was the Continental Currency Dollar. I remember seeing how rare and beautiful it was and thought to myself, "I hope one day to even just hold this coin." >>

I was 10 or 11 when I first got a red book and learned about continental currency. I had already learned about the Continental Congress, so quickly understood this was our nations first money, which in my 10 year old mind was completely amazing.

Varieties interest the heck outa me, so to own a pewter example would be most excellent. Let's see, 1 coin, or a type set? hmmm, that's actually kinda tough.
Varieties are the spice of a Type Set.

    Need more $$$ for coins?
