Baltimore Report

Interesting show... lots of decent coins to buy. I still did not see much in quality Barber material or early WALKERS. There were plenty of decent Morgans, with some VAMS, and afew Proofs if you looked hard. Original Seated Dollars in circ seemed tough to find. Most of the ones I saw were just not original. I saw some gold and an 1877-cc $5 that looked in the VF25-30 Range was at one table, but I didn't ask about it further only because I was not in the market.

I looked at an 1801 and 1802 Bust Halfs. They were bothe original... the 1801 was a solid VF20, PERHAPS 25, and the 1802 was a solid 15, but they were priced aggressively.

I saw MrEureka and bought a coin from him, but it was a darkside coin that I thought was quite attractive.

The crowd was okay...nothing to brag about. I was looking for a decent 1919-D WLH and left without one. I bought only darkside coins and notgeld and was happy with what I found... I just was hoping to find alittle more.

They announced that gold closed at 446.00. It seems gold does well during the Baltimore show. Can't explain that one...

    great report!!! keep them coming

well this is what many used to say about a rise in gold with the considence of the long beach show but the last few long beach shows this has not been the case

usually gold seems to get soft around late spring early summer then makes a so called run

seen it happen more times than not

    but times are a changing
