major MAJOR seller's remorse

recently opened up a book on North American Indians. It pictured a 1660's passport medal issued by the Virginia colonists for the
local Indians to wear when entering the colonial settlements. The medal pictured looked remarkably like a medal I sold last year
on ebay for around $9.99... it looked kinda interesting but i couldnt figure out what the heck it was

Lesson: if you don't know what it is, it might still be a good idea to hold onto it! Right now i'm feelin' mighty loooooooooow

There was a dealer at last year's ANA who had Indian "ornaments", and they were not cheap. Some, akin to jewelry or ceremonial wear, were in the tens of thousands of dollars. These were partial breastplate adornments which were engraved or chased silver. I do recall one was $40,000+. image I just thanked him for explaining his wares and moved on. All the while I'm thinking this is Museum stuff.
