    welcome kurt

and i think you should carry it as a pocket piece as if you can get it worn down to a poor one and get it slabbed by pcgs as a po 1 then there are many who collect the lowest grades and someone will pay you lots more than 90 dollars for your poor one 1921 high relief peace dollar

a cool way to get reintroduced into the hobby and not a mistake just coin college tuition and it happens to us all and many lots more way lots more than you
your mistake will be if you do this again

but keep on coming back here it is fun also try the ngccoin.com boards too it is also free to join and use

does it look ok? put it in an album, or sell it as a cleaned coin and buy one you like

it's not like a little cleaning makes the coin worthless. it's just worth less

if you want a pocket piece it would make a neat one, and carrying it a year or so might diminish the appearance of having been cleaned.

Welcome Kurt. You can/will learn quite a bit from the forum. Many of the top people in numismastics are regulars to the forum. We are all coin geeks so if you have a question about something specific there will be someone who can answer it for you. Don't be shy asking, we all ask questions, since it is impossible to know every series in and out.

    Cheers

XF45 detail? Shoot, even cleaned, you didn't do THAT badly. Yeah, you got burned, but you still have a 1921 Peace dollar with XF45 detail (unless you're carrying steel wool in your pockets).

It could've been a lot worse.
