Heres a site on ebay they are cheap, I personally would not buy from Littleton, this sounds like one of their "foot in the door" gimicks:

You see littleton on ebay all the time and they never sell, because the customer has been lured into buying high price coins that probably won't go up in value for many years. (Unless you expecct silver to up like in did in 79/80. They are a step below the shiesters on TV. Test ebay , or a reputable dealer. (Coin Wrold may be a good place to start) Read the book, then get the coin!!!

    I wouldn't buy littleton coins...too expensive.

That said, you can get some good prices on the Silver American Eagles from them because they try to use them to get you into their web.
Last year, I bought 5 (their max) SAEs for $5each I believe it was. Cheaper than spot.

I just sent back their mailer saying "No more, no thank you".
No fuss, no muss. Good price.

Buy them on ebay and other places with spot around $7.41/oz right now and expect to pay $10+ per coin after shipping/handling.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Thanks all for the comments.Thought I'd take a long shot and ask.I was hoping that they could be found at some Banks somewhere in the U.S or something instead of at Littletons. They are asking 8.99 each.I wont do it but my friend is welcome to do as chooses.

Uncirculated SAEs are only sold through authorized distributors. The United States Mint does not sell these directly to collectors. The proof SAEs are sold on the Mint's web site. You can generally pick up an unc SAE at any coin show. Most small dealers buy from the 10 authorized major dealers and have some in stock. Given the price of silver (about $7.40 +/-), I think $8.99 is not too far off the mark for a current date, i.e. 2005.

FYI, the major dealers have a minimum order of $50,000 for bullion coins like the SAE. That is why there are only a handful of them. I hope this helps.
