    BL,

I am not a dealer, but also have LOTS of silver coins that I am trying to move.......what I have been told, to the best of my recolletion is silver is around 4.5x face.
This I presume is for common circulated coins. Circulated clad coins are probably face value.

Common, circulated 90% silver coinage sells for around 4 times face value presently. You can check your newspaper's business page to get the more updated number, but it has been around 4x for a while.

(FYI: This is the type of question that is better to post on the US Coin Forum as long as you are not advertising your material for sale. You will likely get more responses. Theoretically, this board is only to advertise material for sale or to indicate what you are looking to purchase.)

  • You should have a Red Book. This is what we call "A Guide Book of United States Coins" because it has a red cover. There is a table that lists the silver value of a coin based against spot prices of silver. With Silver at $7.50/oz silver quarters are worth $1.36. They have 0.18084 oz of silver in them so you can calculate the value based on the current spot price.
  • ill go count them again.....just all the silver.....

so 6 to the 10 dollar range?,or lower?,...or does it depend on bulk of the lot or grade?.......

cause i want to unload a binder of alot of whati dont want.....

    Bootleg,

Any copper clad coinage, such as the SBAs, I would pay face value for whether they are uncs or circs. Personally, I would never consider buying copper clad coinage in bulk. That said, I do enjoy my IKEs and SBAs. image
