I hope the word "reprint" wasn't on some of that paper that came off the back!

Seriously, this card has more character than all those shiny new reprints and inkjet repros being flogged by sellers who found them in an old book / attic / basement / truck door / cookie jar and aren't sure if they're genuine.
  • That's one of the things I like about PSA. There's no way they would have given that card a grade (and it doesn't deserve on either). It would have been slabbed "authentic" and nothing more. GAI should be ashamed of themselves for giving that card a grade, even if it is only a "1." image

Gotta give the seller credit for providing a scan of the back.
Think I would have just scanned the front and then stated "all sales are final !" image

I'm surprised GAI didn't give it a "First Graded" label. The first graded card that should actually be -7 but 1 is the bottom of the scale.

I still like it better than the scam Mantles.

What about retoration of that card? Not to try to regrade it but if it was just in your collection. You would know it was an authentic card with restoration and they could probably do a lot for it, especially the front. Again not to decieve anyone but to have a nice looking Mantle without selling organs on the black market. What do you all think, how good could they fix it?
