PC coin tracking programs.

I have been useing just MS Word to inventory my coins. I use Quickbooks at work for inventory, and was considering changing over to that. But now I wonder what everyone else uses?

  • I use Excel. I put together a spreadsheet with all the info I care about: Grade, Purchase Price, Date of Purchase, etc...

So far it's working out pretty well.

I use Access. I have a standard form for entry and then I have a bunch of reports set up for different uses such as registry sets, type sets or totals.

I use coin manage, I like the program but the customer service sucks. They won't answer emails and for that reason I would not recommend.

I'm developing my own, using VB with Access for the database. It will be geared towards VAM collecting but will be able to handle any/all US coins.

I'm slowly in the process of writing my own in .NET 2.0. When it's done (eventually) I may make it available. I'm writing mine to be a program I'd actually use. The coin programs I've seen are too clunky and obtuse for me.
