Game Used Catchers Mask that is up for auction by Bricol Sports Auctions? I just added 3 autographed baseballs from some of the "Big Red Machine" members (Rose, Bench, and Morgan) so unfortunately I don't think I will be able to add this piece to the collection.

What are your favorite Bench / Reds auto items? I have quite a few authenticated cards, balls, bats and assorted memorabilia signed by Johnny, but these are my favorites:
1) 16x20 photo of Bench, Rose, Morgan, Perez at the 1971 All-Star Game, signed by all four.
2) 16x20 photo of Bench and Fisk in the '75 Series, signed by both. Bench is watching as Fisk waves his famous HR fair. Johnny adds "75 W.S. Champs" to his auto, just to take Carlton down a notch.
3) A regulation rubber home plate signed by Bench. (Not game used)
4) A Starting Lineup figure still packaged, signed by Johnny across the plastic bubble. (It looks much better than it sounds)

wow, what a great card!

Why does Jeremy Giambi's auto look like "G Miaway" or something?
That's a beauty of an SGC 98 Bench rookie in that auction. In another thread I asked why the increment goes from 96 (9) to 98 (10), not 9.5. Personally, if I'm going to spend thousands on a 10, it will be a PSA 10. There's no denying this card is darn near perfect, but there's no guarantee it won't drop to PSA 9 on a crossover. SGC collectors don't care about that, so it'll probably get those thousands.
1) a signed 8 x 10 of Pete Rose sliding into home
2) a Pete Rose bobblehead (numbered to 4,192 of course)
3) and the signed baseballs I just picked up.
I'd like to get single signed baseballs of all the members of the '75 Reds team and start a "Big Red Machine" set on the Ball Registry.
Bricol sold a Bench GU Batting Helmet in their last auction that closed at $2,945.00. I've purchased some cards from them and had no problems. As far as Bushing (the authenticator) is concerned, he is pretty knowledgeable. He co-wrote the Mastronet Guide to Game Used Bats along with Dan Knoll. Unfortunately, he's also been on the wrong end of a couple items as well (namely the Joe DiMaggio streak Bat and I think he was the authenticator on the '60's Mantle GU Glove purchased by Billy Crystal a while back from the Halper Collection).
