Proposed Colorado state quarter designs

Some nice designs there. But I don't like what they did to "my" 10th Mountain Division design. No one is going to vote for it when compared to the other four.

I like your Mountain Div skiier and Pike's Peak coins better. The mint artists ruined them!! They made the skiier look like a hunched over astronaut! Out of those five, the "Colorful Colorado" is the lesser of the evils.

You're the one who did the New York and Rhode Island Quarters. Hope your Colorado design gets the nod!

I think the 10th was formed back in WWII in Colorado. Its various Brigades are now split between Ft. Drum in NY , and Ft. Polk LA, I think

I believe that is correct. The 10th Mountain Division, when first formed, had a training camp near Leadville, CO ("Camp Hale"). The reason that it is important to Colorado's history is that several of the 10th's veterans returned to Colorado (after fighting in Italy in WWII) and they started the ski industry here.

PS: Former Kansas Senator Bob Dole was wounded while fighting with the 10th in Italy.

Though the other designs are nice I like this one best


It shows more history and would look nice in DCAM

Love your designs though. I like them all.

I agree, you do a good job.
Of the 5 though, I like the "Colorful Colorado" better...just my humble opinion.
