shows a pcgs 64 peace pic but it says the coin you will receive can be graded 64 and is not the coin pictured.

  • Yup. Someone hoping that they just bid based on the picture.

    Not a very ethical practice.

I realize that I am evidently in the distinct minority, but I don't feel any sympathy at all with people who don't read the discription of what they are buying. It might be different if the seller here didn't bother to mention that he was using a stock photo and that the coin being sold wasn't slabbed. However, if a person can't take the time to figure out what he is bidding on then TOUGH NOUGGY!

Nothing wrong with the auction, but you do need to read it carefully. He is selling raw 1923 peace dollars and the ony thing you can definitely say about them is that they will not grade higher than MS 64. He does NOT say that they WILL grade MS 64. In the first statement he says that they CAN be graded at 64. (Or they CAN be graded 63, or 62 etc.) In his second statement he says that they will grade TO 64. That just means that they won't grade higher than that, it doesn't mean that they can't grade lower.
