For my twelveth birthday (1959), my Grandmother (who was a coin collector) gave my a Lincoln penny album. I looked thru change and tried to fill the album. So my first coin was probably a 1959-D penny that I found in circulation.
I do not remember the first certified coin I ever bought, but it was some PCGS coin that i would have bought in February, 1986.
