Okay, I have a major problem with the new Buffalo nickel

Both sides look pretty darn cool. I'm not sure which side to place forward in my Dansco album.

I've been building a Dansco of MS Jeffies, I have most of the 38 - 03 in MS or PROOF, for the 04s I placed them in the album reverse side front so you can see either the hand clasp or the keelboat. Since the obverse really looks no different than the previous 66 years I figured there was no real reason to display them in the normal manner. However, the new nickels have a real cool reverse and the obverse is pretty awsome too. It may simply be the fact that it's new and having not seen it before, it looks cool. But I really like it and don't know how to put it into my album.

I applaud the mint on this design, my only complaint is that I would like to have a higher relief, but then I guess I can't have everything.

I plan on making it a "7 facer". That's one obverse, and P&D reverse for both the buffalo and ocean view and the proof of each.

They are keeping the same obverse for the ocean view, aren't they? My proof sets haven't arrived yet.

Can you put obverse out for P, reverse for D (or vice versa)?

I agree in that I like the new design, but there is an awful lot of "open space" on the obverse that show every contact mark. I think really clean MS coins will command a premium over and above more recent years.

That's a good idea Airplanenut. Although the neet freak in me cringes at doing something like that, it may be the only way to get both sides displayed for posterity.

I think SO, but don't know if they will keep it for the 06 - anyone know about next year's obverse??
