Are these a good price ?? Please help !!

I do not know anything about air tites. I want some for the 2005 nickel proofs I have coming.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39476&item=3961696273&rd=1

Also what is the difference between white ring, black ring and direct fit. if i understand correctly, the rings are like a "gasket" that buffers the coin from the sides of the air tite.. color is a matter of preference and direct fit is just that no barrier between the coin and sides of the holder..Did I get that right ??

Ok so back to price..10 for 3.99 = .39 per plus 2.75 shipping =6.74 so now its 67.4 cents ea.

OR 3.99 + 3.99 (2nd set of 10) + 2.75 + 1.00 (second set shipping ) = 11.73 or .586 cents ea.

is this a good price overall ???

  • go to jpscorner.com.....best deals anywhere IMHO
  • Thanks for the link, I went there. The ring air tites are .47ea x 20= 9.40 great price but then $4.50 shipping
    9.40 + 4.50 = 13.90 / 20 = .69.5 cents. ea

10 cents ea. than the other site.. Dosen't that sound bad..all this shopping and emailing for $2.00 savings.. I guess I just like "hunting" bargains.

    gil,

Listen to TerrapinWill. He knows what he's saying. I buy all my airtights from JP's.
    They ship lightning fast too!
  • I swear to god, I bought airtites one night and they were in my mailbox 2 1/2 days later...
  • Do you prefer the "rings" or exact fit...Keep in mind we are talking about Air tites now !!!!!!!image
  • I like rings for bigger coins and exact fit for smaller....just my taste

I like both but if I have the choice I pick the ring type. Excellent form of storage. Jp's corner is awesome too. His lightning fast shipping is awesome and he packages nicely. I recommend buying more than 2 or 10 airtites. If you buy 50 you get 5 cents off each one. I know it sounds pricy but I reccomend them for all proofs and coins with a value of $5 or greater. Why lose a perfectly good coin when you can protect it for $0.43.

You can get a bit of each type. One day you will be breaking up proof sets and wondering how to protect those other proofs. The airtites are good to have around for all denominations.
