Some people bid on so many auctions, they load so many pages that sometimes they don't wait for the image to load before bidding. They take the word of the title and description, thinking they'll take a close look at the card later. Or they load an auction into their snipe program before actually looking at the scan, then forget about it.
I did that a few times, until I lost track and found myself the owner of a hideously O/C Reggie Jackson rookie. Fortunately I only lost a few bucks on the resale because my own winning bid was so low. The morale is NEVER TRUST THE TITLE OR DESCRIPTION. LOOK AT THE SCAN!

When i was an ebay newb, i did the same thing...it wasnt a jackson rookie, but a jackson 3rd year. What hurt most was i did it about 10-15% above SMR. It was only $25 dollars, but damnit...that is like 5 meals there!
