This is clearly a fake Mantle on a one day auction - for a "50+ year old looking card"

By adding it to your watch list, you can clearly see who the buyer is, but how can you get their e-mail to warn them?

Why would they boot you if you tried to inform the consumer?

Last week someone posted a thread on how to identify who the high bidder is on a private auction.

The seller states 'a 50 year old looking card'. not saying the card is 50 years old.

If the consumer you are informing is a alter-id of the scammer which is likely he will turn you in for contacting buyers and ebay will suspend you.

Put the auction on your watch list then click on customize on the top of the box. It will take you to a page that will allow you to "change Columns To Display", just move "show high bidder" to the left hand side and hit apply. This will give you the id of the high bidder and you can than contact them through Member Profile page using contact member icon/button.

If it is a SHILL.....they ain't gonna turn you in for risk of getting caught themselves.

The auction ended - I hit the 'contact member' and sent him a polite mail that to be wary of fakes. Tht is all.

I had actually asked the seller if it the card looked 50+ years old or was actually 50+ years old, and got no response...you'd think if he wanted to sell it, he would have replied.
