Anybody have a photo they can post here of the Window's Mite? Either that, or can you direct me to a good photo in a book showing most of the detail of this ancient coin?
Thanks, Pete

Maybe someone else has a better link, but here's what I found.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    Rollerman/Pete,

You may have better luck on the darkside (World and Ancient Coins Forum).....this is the forum for US Coins, and while a lot of people do both, the people that inhabit the other forum are most likely to have this info at their fingertips.

A "Widows Mite" doesn't actually refer to a specific coin but could refer to any one of many small bronze coins (prutah) that were in circulation in Judea around 30 AD. There were several different designs in common use ranging from the prutah of Pilate that was currently in production to issues that dated back to around 100 BC. The piece shown in the earlier link is one of the most common versions.
