1922 peace dollar error question and advise

First would this be a lamination error or a planchet flaw? Would there be any added value for this error? What would this coin grade. I don't know much about this series, I have a complete date and mint mark set +. Any help on this appreaciate.

Thanks Larry

  • Hard to tell from the photo. If it looks like the grand canyon and is jagged, then it's a P-flaw....

imageThink I will agree with the p-flaw. So would it be VG or F and does a p-flaw carry any premium?

  • Usually has to be VERY large like 3/4 the way to the center of the coin to have it double in price. I'd do an ebay search for the last 30 days to see what kind of % it is.
