VAM Question - What to use to look at mass qty's of coins

Over the past year or so, I have been using a Belomo 10X 21mm Triplet Jeweler's Loupe to look for VAM Lincolns. What a pain in the ass. I must have looked at over 5000 Lincolns. I have found many MS Lincolns that are truley beautiful, but there has got to be an easier way. Is there a better piece of equipment like a coin microscope with a light that any of you can suggest.

What are you trying to achieve by using a microscope vs. a loupe? Faster? See more detail?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Something that have the same strength as a 10x loop, but has a bigger eye piece with light. Something that would give me the same magification and allow me to burn through more coins in an hour than a loop does. Also, something that does not require me to hold the coins all the time would be nice.

Depending what I am looking at. I will use a 5x, 10x, 30x, or the microscope. Looking at that many coins, I would get a headache.

I love using my stereo Microscope at 30x for detailed Morgan Dollar VAM analysis. It's much easier and less stressful on my eyes than a loupe.

The loupes are great when your out and about, but nothing beats a scope while playing with coins at home or in the office!!
