1834 Bust Quarter... Opinion and grade her for me, please.

Its been two years since I last saw my Capped Bust quarter friend.....I thought for sure it fell out of my pocket or something.....just could not locate it for two years...I had brought it to work to show a friend, and thats the last I remember of it.....untill today when I dumped out the contents of my laptop bag onto the kitchen table to give it a cleaning and install a 802.11b card for mobile computing....and out popped my coin in her plastic tomb.

Its been a while since she has seen the light, so....what do you think of her?

My pics are not the best and the dark areas are much nicer blue and nicer olive green. I have taken different angle shots to try and show toning and luster.
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

    There we go.

Edited to add: I'd go AU55 with it.

Considering I paid very little for her I am very happy with how its risen in value in the last five years or so. I am so temped to MS70 it and resubmit it, or even send to NCS and then NGC.

Why NCS? From the pics she is a nice mid-AU coin. Sending her off for conservation won't do anything about the fact that she has been cleaned in the past.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

I like it and would not do anything to it.

ANACS will give it a grade of EF (cleaned); AU details.

From the pictures, it's hard to say if a dip would help or hurt this one. How splotchy is the toning? If it is remotely attractive, you might as well just send it in, if you must have it slabbed. If I were you, I'd stick it in an album.

If those dark areas are the start of PVC damage I would give it an acetone bath. Bust quarters are hard to get into PCGS or NGC slabs because they usually have been "improved" somewhere in the past nearly two hundred years. I gave up buying them raw a long time ago and I think I am way ahead of the game because of it; better to let someone else challenge the grading services to slab the coins. I have not seen a raw XF or better Bust quarter in years that I think would slab.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
