1922-P Peace dollar with dot under eagle's claw

Is this common on Peace dollars? I know some of the 1921 Morgans have them... heard about hardness tests on the dies. Didn't see any mention for Peace VAMs with dots. It came in a roll of 22-P's and I have a matching pair. If you know anything about it, please pass it on.

    About the 1921 Morgan, the VAM book says that some may have been used to identify the dies, some may be Rockwell hardness tests, and some may be trapped gas bubbles. Not sure about Peace dollars...
