I had no idea what it was worth and since it was worth $500 to me, that's what I bid.
Since it is worth $500 to a number of people (currently at $1,550) , I can show it now

Large Cent 1817 N-10 NGC 12 BN Brockage Mirror
The reverse of the coin is finite in its design and slightly weak due to the pressure exerted upon it by an extra struck coin in the collar which transferred its reverse design in mirror image onto the blank obverse of the host coin. This is most dramatic error reflects the state of the Mint in 1817 following the fires which destroyed the rolling mills, limiting the production of coinage to only large Cents in 1816.
