Yep, your white balance is off... and I'm still waiting for my royality check...
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Marty, you missed your fortune. You could have made photography packages and sold them for $49.99 and all you needed to send out was a $6 lampshade from Target.

Lee: Your photo sharpness looks fine, but as others have already mentioned adjust your white balance to reduce the amount of red in the photo.

Well I just had to go give it a try. Here is my first attempt with the lampshape using GE Reveal 60 watts (3). It worked real good, no editing except for cropping. Weird I did not get any red tone as others have. What do you think?

Lee: The last photo shows a great improvement in your color balance. Now perhaps you may wish to add a bit more light to brighten up the coin a bit.

    You are making great progress!

LeeG, your only problem is that purple panty that the coin is sitting on. image I think you are getting some reflected color on the coin.

I don't like the lampshade method for completely brilliant coins...

No, I guess not... image They just don't picture well... I don't like the all mirror look on a coin, so, if I'm doing a brilliant proof, I usually just reflect something white into the camera...
