What will this Ike Dollar lottery yield??

I saw this a a few days before it closed and placed a bid that eventually won, figuring that at worst I'd be breaking even and at best I'd score a nice bonus. My initial thoughts were to e-mail the seller for a reverse picture but I decided not to. No need to raise any undo curiosity even though it's logical to assume someone else may have asked about the reverse Type or the seller already knew. In the end, I placed my bid and now I'll wait to see if I get a surprise.

What do you think it'll be? Ever scored big on an undesigated slab??

    It'll be a Type 2 that upgrades to MS65.

Strike is not strong. Chance for type two is low. I would say 50/50 as a type one and type three.

I saw the auciton and had the same thoughts. Given the seller deals extensively in coins, I would guess they left it unspecified for the speculators!

    hey Brian

that was a thought i had, but i don't think there's anyone locally who knows about the three reverse varieties and i've run into quite a few dealers on the club circuit who can't tell them apart, don't know about them and can't grade the coins. most importantly, most hate the coins and almost give them away.

are the varieties listed in the RedBook yet???
