The idea of using replacement players in the fall was discussed at last weeks Board of Governors meeting in New York. Although no specificsemerged (all parties said they'd examine all options if no collective bargaining agreement was reached), broadcaster Don Cherry said no NHL player who is suiting up in Europe should have a problem with replacement players. "I hope there isn't [a need for it], but if there isand I hear any player criticize a replacement, they're going to get it from me," said Cherry. "Talk about hypocrites. They go over to Europe, 400 of them, and take these jobs. As far as I'm concerned, all those guys over there are SCABS."
