(Priest) BLASPHEMY he said it again, did you hear him?
Apropos of the coin posse/aka caca: "The longer he spoke of his honor, the tighter I held to my purse."

No i did not... I think Heritage about a year ago, you can not see the print under normal 16x It just look's like Toning
these are taken with my new camera using Super Macro and A 100 watt light No funny stuff with the Pictures
I was just being a clown
Didn't mean to be insulting or anything

I dont see too much wrong with the 45-s so I would go 64 or 65. I find the toning unattractive.
Knowledge is the enemy of fear
The 1941 should be a ms64 Because the Eagles neck is cut look careful then just 2 minor hit on rev,the Obverse a hit on his neck a hit on his face and the top of his Head 3 big Hits
the 1945-s should be a ms67 it has a clean obverse the rev is Spotless except the is one small hit on the Perch
Every Washington I have In ms66 has a weak strike i thought that was how a washington Looked??
I am a bit more conservative, but here are my thoughts:
The 41 is a 63. The significant hits on the obverse combined with a print (which needs to be removed) drops the coin. Without the print it would be a shot 64.
The 45 is a 65. Although the surfaces are nice, the toning (from the picture) detracts from the coin. I am not a fan of spotty toning as I bet if it were dipped in a dilute acidic solution, it would keep the luster and get rid of the spottiness.

P.S. Yeah, Washingtons are tough to grade.

the 45-s looks great in person i took the picture with super macro so you all could see the coin it has fantastic luster
It is Grade ms65
The 41 with all the hits is Graded ms66
I believe that if the images are accurate, the first coin should grade a minimum of MS64 (even with the obverse print, hits on the head and the reverse cut on the eagle's neck) and the second one should grade a minimum of MS65, despite the speckled toning.
1941: This coin looks very much like it came out of a roll that was stored for a significant time because of the phlegmy toning that both the obverse and reverse have taken on; it is totally original; it looks like it has terrific luster; the reverse is superb save for the single mark on the eagle's neck; the partial print on the obverse will not bother them in-hand since it is much tougher to see this type of print without magnification; the myriad of light cuts on Washington's forehead bother me and they will determine where this coin ends up. My opinion on the PCGS grade is that there is no way this coin is below MS64 or above MS66. I bet it's an MS65, with MS66 next likely and MS64 less likely than that.
1945-S: This coin has a weaker strike; has the typical frosty luster that mid-40s and early-50s coinage is known for; has completely original toning and has that speckled, auburn obverse toning that PCGS does not always like. My opinion on how PCGS graded this coin is also that it is in the MS64 to MS66 range but with a grade probability of MS65 most likely, MS64 next likely and MS66 least likely.
If these two coins were sent in together I would be the 1941 would grade higher than the 1945-S. I will now read your thread and see if you tell us how they grade.
