Any suggestions for a small problem?

Hi Group,
I'm building a set of Kennedy halfs, all from mint sets, proof sets and silver proof sets.
I have some sets from the 90s that I want to crack, but I've run out of spaces to put the cents, nickles, dimes, I still have some quarter spots open.
As a result of building my half set (all from sets) I have dimes, nickles, quarters, + cents from 64-now also. And wound up buying dollar books from Ikes - Sacs. So I'm winding up with nice collections from 1964 - 2000s

What would be the best way to handle my extras?

Sell them on e-bay? Or maybe put them in a nice Dansco album, one album for each denomination?

You could try warring with Marty and Russ on submissions.....but you will probably get the short end of that stick........ I am still sitting on a bunch of point 9's and ah's that I managed to snipe from Russ a while back....
This is a very dumb ass thread. - Laura Sperber - Tuesday January 09, 2007 11:16 AM image

Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
  • If you want to collect sets of the other denominations then i would say put them into their respective albums.

If not then spend them image

Sell 'em as singles. I occasionally buy leftover singles from the older (cello era) sets. I suppose if they are cheap enough I might be in the market for later ones, too.

You could always put 'em on the BST forum and sell 'em here... for free.

  • The thing is I have the other albums, but have the spots filled.
The nickel, dime and cent albums I have don't have proof spots marked in them. I put proof coins in anyway. But have run out of spots.

I say don't have proof spots marked, unless the only way to get S mint marks is proofs. Being in Nh it the easiest way for me.

Upgrade to folders with the proof spots, keep the best dupes for the new folders and sell the rest in the old folders.
