Submission question..

USMC_6115USMC_6115 Posts: 3,005 ✭✭✭✭✭
I want to send one coin in for a reholder (no problem), and another coin in for a crossover. I know that I need separate invoices, but am I going to need 4 other coins on the crossover invoice?

Unless you submit at the $50 express level, yes.

Yup, five coin minimum. I'm not sure if it's always been like that though. I'm getting the idea PCGS doesn't want to deal with the average "Joe" anymoreimage

It hasn't. Used to be one coin minimum for Regular level. That was upped to five on 1.01.05.

  • then do you need 5 to submit for upgrades? or can you only send in one at a time??
  • PCGS needs to rethink their 5-coin minimum policy on Regular services, especially when moderns are considered 1965-. It shuts out middle class collecting stiffs like myself.

Here you go. The link to all the prices. It does not specifically say 5 coins for crossovers, but if you call them it is 5.

  • I had two coins ready for submission when I discovered this new policy. I'm a bit annoyed since I paid for a two-year deal. I think I (and others like me) should be "grandfathered" from this policy. Basically I'm now paying for a service that's currently unuseable unless I can come up with the minimum 5 pre '65 coins. That could take a while and my membership expires within a few months.

Iv'e had 4 ready to go for over 3 months. Just picked up the 5th this weekend. The policy stinks.

Got an idea. What if? A few members of the forum shipped all their coins to a trusted member (Very Trusted) would have to be voted on or something along with the fee money and then had them graded all at one time. It's gotta work. Hell, shipping the 3-5 coins anywhere in the U.S. costs only a few bucks and if you got some nice coins, who cares.
