I thought there were some pretty good deals compared to other shows of late.
T206's are always being bought.

I was disappointed that PSA was not grading on site. GAI was and their booth was swamped all day today.
Picked up this from Kurtz Kardz.
1993 Pro Set Power All-Power-Defense Gold #1
eBay and the internet are great, but something about a show where you can see the cards and memorabilia up close & personal makes it worthwhile....jay

Collecting Tony Perez PSA and Rookie Baseball PSA
Unlike a lot of you guys, I haven't sold cards at a show in a LONG time.
1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards
I was there Saturday and scooped a pair of 1967 cellos (GAI 9). One will be opened at work this week, the other I think I will do at Ft. Wash in April/May. Good to touch base with the solid professional hobbyists I hadn't since last August. Sorry I missed Neal and Jay, but security told me they kept their eye on him Friday in my absence.
Authenticated a batch of SS/Sweet Spot Mantle baseballs, 2 Bill Dickeys, a Yogi Berra, and Feller and Whitey Ford 8X10s; Sent 3 others for ball grading, and proudly submitted the 2004 Red Sox playoff tickets for authentication (I will have the World Series tickets authenticated & graded in April/May); submitted 600 cards (Special 72-90).

Used to working on HOF SS Baseballs--Now just '67 Sox Stickers and anything Boston related.
<<I also went to the TriStar Show in Phoenix with similar experience. I spent $10 on admission and found nothing worthwhile. The few vintage raw cards were very over priced and the men behind the table were not interested in price negotiations. >>
I meant to reply to this earlier, but .......I got distracted and forgot....
I went to the Houston Tri-Star show in January and it was the worst Tri-Star show ever for me (and I didn't think it could get worse after last year). I got there on Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm and left at 6:15 pm. It used to take all of Friday and part of Saturday to cover the show. This time the raw stuff was either lousy or super expensive (in some cases both super expensive and lousy quality). Out of the 6 vintage dealers there, 4 now sell raw cards at or near SMR prices ($8-$20 for low series NM-Mint commons from the late '60s - ridiculous!). The other two vintage dealers had reasonable prices but you have to look through several hundred cards to find one decent one. Ughh! There wasn't very much graded vintage stuff either. It's really sad. It looked more like a massive garage sale rather than a regional card show.
Yup, you could have said the same thing about the Phoenix show. It's now to the point where the sometimes monthly local show in town actually brings out as much if not more material/dealers than the Tri-Star show. And those local shows aren't particulary impressive. Card shows aren't what they used to be, that's for sure!
Depending on the grades, I may try to find another pack or two at Ft. Wash in April/May...

Hope all is well your way.
