NCS work on a holdered coin??

marmacmarmac Posts: 1,437 ✭✭✭
Will in NCS review a coin for conservation that is in a pcgs/anacs slab? Granted it will come back to me in an NCS slab or raw if they can improve it, but I don't want to have to crack it out to find out they can't do anything for me.

Has anyone sent them anacs, pcgs, holdered stuff to get an opinion on conserving the coin before?

Yes. They will evaluate in any certified holder and only crack out if they will do something.

They also offer a grade guarantee for coins in NGC holders. If you submit an NGC holdered coin and they agree to conserve it, they will guarantee the current grade.

I tried it once, but they said they couldn't improve the coin. (Milkspots on cameo proof)

Their grade guarantee is not just for NGC holders. I'm pretty sure about that.
