Question about Dansco Albums

DNADaveDNADave Posts: 7,271 ✭✭✭✭✭
Why is there no hole for the 1856 FE cent? Just bought the album today and was expecting it to be there. (After all, there is a hole for the 1895 Morgan) I'm glad its not since I can now have a "complete" album.

  • The 1856 FE was technically a pattern. The 1895 Morgan was a proof only issue, but it was a regular year issue.

  • I was surprised to discover that the standing quarter album does not have a hole for the overdate. Bought the Whitman album instead.

The FE book does have the 69/69 overdate hole.
  • Already got your coins, Dave? Or are you fixin' to start a collection?

I have all the copper/nickels (no 56) and some very nice AU coins towards the end. I'll pick up the S-mints next and then the 77 before filling out the rest of the book. Saving for the big ones is killing me. So instead of buying coins, I'm buying books and albums every so often to satisfy the urge.
  • Pretty neat.
I only collect the thick planchet CN issues, but have several nice bronze examples as well.
    Small cents are great!
