To your instructions as to how you shot photos at an angle and then re-round them - I believe in Photoshop. I remember once a pretty detailed explaination but have forgotten.

I seem to have gotten rid of a lot of the image unfortunately.

Well, The images are gone in the initial post and when I printed the template it took up an entire page, I know that's not right - what did I do wrong?

Template came out the same for me, too.

Ah, sorry.. probably should've mentioned this. Try opening the image in your picture software (Adobe or whatever), set print options to landscape (instead of portrait or just rotate the image 90*) and print from there.

Most such software will automatically resize the image to fit the page, but if not look for that option in print options also.
