a grading co?

Morning Group,
Has anyone herd of PCC (Premier Certified Coins)? I ask because I bought a 2005 silver eagle listed as MS70 on ebay. And it seems to have 2 small scratches in it. It is possible they are on the holder rather than the coin. But regaurdless, I have not seen any mention of PCC here. And don't know if it's a reputable grading co. or a Joe's certified coins.

(Priest) BLASPHEMY he said it again, did you hear him?

  • I've seen some of their slabs on ebay. Not sure where they rank tho.Chances are that their ms70 is PCGS's ms65.

There junk from what I got. A fool listed a group of coins and I got them. One is a 2001 NY quarter that says MS68 on it. I have better coins in my pocket change jar.

Anyone can start a grading company and anyone can grade coins to their own standards. I prefer to use PCGS, NGC and ANACS only for my coin grading needs. If I find a coin that is not in one of those mentioned holders, I treat it as a raw coin.

  • D#$N,
I was afraid of that. I bought another thats not slabbed, to put in my collection book. Maybe I'll just crack this one out instead.

  • Just an update:

I did crack out this eagle and one of the scratches I saw is in the coinimage

    And I wanted an MS70

The auction description didn't say WHO graded it. Watch out for P.C.C.

  • I've seen this link posted many times in nthe Forum. Here it is again http://rg.ancients.info/guide/slabs.html It is a very informative and seemingly unbiased review of many TPG's I think it will help in your future slab purchases.Mikeimage
