Not holdered, Re-Colored

My latest order came back with Not holdered, Re-Colored for a 71T Bench that I bought raw on Ebay. Anyone know what to look for? I've looked it over and don't see anything obvious. Any chance another grader doesn't agree and slabs the card? At this point, I'm not sure it's worth sending in again.

Thanks,
Lyle

Look for black along the edges under a bright light.
  • PSA wouldn't say a card were recolered if it weren't.

The 71's are notorious for recoloring. Like was mentioned, check the edges very carefully (under magnification and lighting) and it should become clear.

Brian D. (Marz on this board) sells hand held UV lights that are used for detecting recoloring. It won't help you on ebay, but it will save you the cost of the submission once you get the card in hand. I believe they are about $15.

As a collector of 71s, I would like to get that hand held UV light. Marz, if you are reading this, please PM me your info. Thanks!

Hold the card on edge. The black will bleed thru the cardboard making it very easy to spot.
