Indian Head Cent Collecting Question???

I'm thinking of building a collection of problem-free raw IHCs (XF/AU for the common dates and less for the rarer dates).

Mainly, I prefer coins with a full "LIBERTY" on the head bands. What's the minimum grade to reach that criteria?

Recommended dealers (eBay or elsewhere)?

Thanks in advance...

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Look for problem free chocolate brown examples. There are maany cleaned pieces available. Expect no bargains on the tough dates, you can usually find a few bargains on the common dates.

Generally you will find that XF is the lowest grade for a nice, clean LIBERTY. As Rick said, look for chocolate brown, not too dark, not at all pink, examples. I would collect both the easy ones and the hard ones at the same time. For every easy date, get a hard date, say 1866 with a 1901.
