What success have you had in using the BST forum to sell your coins?

To date I have not spent much time on nor have a igiven much thought to the BST forum. However, I am looking at my collection (some would say accumulation) and can not deny that I find myself with items I neither need or want. I would like to sell off parts of my collection and am curious about using the BST to sell same. Thus my post.ing of this thread.
What has been your experience with the BST in selling coins? If you have had success, please describe the best way you have found to list/describe items (i.e. single coin, multiple coins of a single series or bulk lot of multiple series). Thanks, SanctionII.

Just say what you've got, and if there's a picture, show it!

I've had much better luck buying on the BST board. I quit Ebaying so I like the board. I like that there are No fees. I've never had a problem or been stung by a bad seller.

I have occasionally sold items to board members that were looking for a specific item - but not often. In addition, I have been notified of auctions that I might not have looked at otherwise.
For me, it has been a great way to sell items without the hassle of the auction houses - best of all no fees!!

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Still some nice ones left right here.
Give it a shot!

Seems to be a great place to work on.
Always a good expereince, the people here are generally "stand-up" people that are great to work with. I'd highly recommend it if you are looking to sell some of your stash. I should probably thin my heard a bit, but I have such a difficult time parting with anything in my collection.
Thanks again Cameonut for the 1961 CAM Frankie. SanctionII.

Not necessarily true; would be more the exception than the rule.

The same applies to high end stuff. Seems the $50-200 items sell the best.
Basically, it seems like it is populated by
a) people who like good coins -- i.e. attractive, high-grade, and/or uncommon, and
b) people who have an outlet of some sort through which they can realize at better price for the common stuff I have to blow out below wholesale.
On the buying end, I've found the shopping there to be pretty good. Nice coins are offered, at competetive prices.
Best of all its free so I'd post what you have for sale and exchange references before you ship or get the $$ first. Then don't wait too long to try and sell elsewhere.
