What do you consider to be an acceptable time period from the time a coin is signed for at the Post

Newport Beach and PCGS enters it into their system? Thanks,

Jerry

I expect it logged in sometime within 5 months.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Will I be charged for storage?

20 minutes. I'm even more impatient.

    Jerry,

Did you write the submission type on the outside of the package?

    Russ, NCNE
  • Mine always gets taken care of very fast. All I do is write on the package the words..."I know David Hall"!

  • No Russ, that I didn't do.

That's why it hasn't been entered. If it isn't noted, it gets tossed in a pile and gets entered when they finally feel like it.

  • Thanks Russ...I haven't learned anything the easy way yet when it comes to coins. I never had a problem before. PCGS always entered it the day they signed for it. Of course this time I had to use the $100 walk through. Nothing I can do now except wait it out.

    Jerry,

Same here. I had never written it, and had never had a problem. Recently, I did - on an express submission sent by express mail. After that one, I've been writing it on the outside and the orders have been getting entered much more quickly.

Call customer service and tell them you have a $100 submission sitting in the pile. Insist that they go dig it out. They will.

Just checked on one of mine ... USPS delivery confirmation shows as arrived 03/01 and PCGS shows as logged into the system 03/03. At that rate I should have two more logged in tomorrow. Best guess would be that PCGS has quite a few submissions to log in from the Long Beach Show.

The day they get it. We're talking about articles of value that carry great importance to the people that send them there. How long would
you expect a cash deposit at your bank to be entered into their system?

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

  • Well, there it went...Live and learn. Now I know.

    Jerry
  • Thanks MS70. That's my opinion also.
