A holey medal - LM alert!

A rarity RRR medal commemorating the Peace of Amiens. The treaties had been signed a couple months before and this little medal was issued, about 20 of them, at the time of the public festivities held in London.

BHM 545 - 24mm - RRR
It was probably holed at the time and worn for a few months until it became clear to everyone that neither Napoleon nor the British cabinet had any intention of honoring the treaty; they just needed a break from war. During that few months though the British gentry swarmed the European countryside. After being cooped up on their islands since the early 1790s it was time to party! That doesn't mean that no one from Britain traveled in Europe during those years, it's just that very few tourists made the crossing.
LM would have fit in during the Consulate, it was fairly common to attach coins or medals to your clothing or hang them from a silk ribbon, sort of personal bumper stickers.![image](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif)
Sorry about the condition but they just don't surface that often.

Nifty.
Did I understand that correctly- there were only 20 of those medals produced?
Say, funny you should post a thread to my attention, 'cause I was gettin' ready to post one to your attention, Vern.
Somebody just gave me a nice (silver!) French jeton and I was wondering if you might know anything about it. It ain't Napoleonic, though- it's Louis XV. I'll post it in its own thread later, after I load the pics.
You want how much?!!
