If I ever decided to buy gold, you can bet your ass that would also be my rule. I could get screwed in a heartbeat buying raw. Too many of the fakes look real to me.

Authenticity was only half the question. Same deal if it's cleaned?

No. The coin does look like it has been lightly cleaned. Of course, at this grade, light cleaning hardly affects the coin's value.
