TOREX Report

I returned home Sunday from the TOREX show in Toronto. As usual it was a nice show, well attended, about thirty dealers with tables and several more without. If you are into the greyside, for my money it's the place to be.

I overspent my budget in Chuck Moore's auction, but am very pleased with the lots I got. The following coins are coming to papa in the mail:

I also looked at the auction lots being offered in Stan Wrights Calgary auction on March 12 (also a live EBay auction). If you like high end greyside stuff, take a look (no - I have absolutely no relationship with Stan other than as a bidder).

I received Stan Wright's auction catalogue today. Some very nice coins. I really want the 1890-H 50c in AG.

Rat - I looked long and hard at a DP#1 on the floor in PCGS MS-62RB. In the end I passed. I have an AU one and am holding out for a 63 or better. There was lots of very nice circulated stuff on the floor, but my wallet really needs to recover. - Rob
