ANACS- Submission Question

I have some coins I want ANACS to grade. Is it mandatory for coins sent in to be put in polybags or can they just be put into 2.5x2.5 flips.

I've submitted a few times to ANACS and only had the coins in the flips. No problems....

I've only submitted to them in Mylar flips, no polybags. The invoice always says, "Thanks for a perfectly prepared order" or something like that. So forget the bags. Don't polybags have PVC anyway?

Just got a batch back this morning same note as above. Just used flips also. No problem.

I must say their 5 day service is fantastic.

Longacre, Yes right on the button. I bought a friends childhood coin collection It sat in his closet about 25 yrs . I sent in :

1924 huguenot AU details Scratched net EF40

It had a few high grade morgans but I have to send them in for cleaning. The cellaphane on the 2x2s had cracked in spots and they developed black toning spots.one right on the lip of a 82cc in 66.I never have dipped a coin before.
Any advise would be helpful. Thanks.


I imagine most childhood collections like this have problems.
