Price appreciation potential?

Does a 1971 Topps baseball NON-GRADED set whose average grade is Good (G2) to Very Good (VG3) have any price appreciation potential?

  • I agree. Too new, and 2-3 is essentially a multiple crease set.

  • Yes, any vintage, especially vintage in sets will go up. They just are not making the stuff anymore.

I agree with Justin; the supply of G-VG cards won't drop as fast as the supply of mint cards, but it has only the one direction to go. And the supply of unopened 1971's is miniscule compared to what's already out there; people will be ripping mint cards out of unopened packs from the last 20 years for the next milennium. That is, if anyone cares about cards from the last 20 years much longer.
This is for you @thisistheshow - Jim Rice was actually a pretty good player.
