Sorry about not using the link button. I'm simply blown away that someone could grab ahold of that many "pop1" coins. There are only 5 types that he doesn't have the highest and all of those are pop ones.

I agree with that one. The set below just showed up all at once in the 1933-1947 Liberty Halves registry within the last week. 67.11 out of a possible 67.21. Little might I say I got bumped down *1* on the 2nd page.

Six figures? If you mean high six figures. The 1926-S alone has sold for over $100k. I wish he/she would post large, clear pictures of each coin.

If this set is available for sale - which I doubt - Laura Sperber has already got a firm figure in mind.

She'd be the one who could acurately give you a plausable estimate; very high six figures, I'm sure.

I'm sure he's got close to 2 million in that set alone. But the same guy owns the #2 "Illinois Collection" and also used to have a total of 4 Buffalo Registry sets in the top ten.

His family farm seems to be growing the right stuff.

I don't wish to dampen the enthusiasm about the noteworthy accomplishment of gathering up a number of 'Pop 1' examples. There have been, however, some collections of U S Pattern coins (Lohr, Farouk, Woodin to name a few) that had a dozen or more truly UNIQUE coins. That is correct -- pattern coins of which only one example of the design was ever minted (or at least ever traced). And those collections (as well as several others) had several dozen Rarity-8 coins -- i.e. only 2 or 3 known specimens of the entire design.
