Major, give it a rest already. This subject is hashed out here on a very frequent basis. You've given your thoughts as well as heard others. There is no need to bring this to the surface each and every time you log on.
I usually leave feedback when I receive payment as a seller. I leave feedback upon receipt of an item if it is a no problem purchase. I have given more feedback than received, which seems to be common. I personally don't care if I get a neg from a buyer. I have dealt with enough people who are happy with my sales and purchases, and if you have taken the time to check my rating out you'll know I don't mess around. I have taken a couple of items back, and refunded the whole purchase price paid w/shipping. Its no big deal. I have also had the post office loose a package, which I refunded to the buyer, before I was ever reimbursed by them. I try to treat people the way I want to be treated. If I lose a few $ in the middle of a sale or purchase, I chalk it up to experience. You can please some to the people some of the time, but you can't please them all, all of the time.
My last post in this thread, and then I'll let you two have the last word - you know who you are.
Where did I imply feedback is mandatory? I didn't. More false accusations.
To paraphrase a response I sent after receiving a PM: I simply wanted to hear some current views regarding feedback. I heard them, and even thanked you all for your thoughts. Also, after reading other people's views, I decided to change my stance a little and leave feedback as a buyer even if I haven't received any. Only after that is when (someone) made his comment about only being concerned about feedback and not good coins, which is total bullsh1t, so I responded. I'll choose to talk about "good coins" in other threads. I brought it "to the surface" a couple times only in response to crap said, not to push a personal feedback view. Can't you see that? Guess not.
I'm not obsessing about feedback, I'm disagreeing with accusations made towards me. Considering responses from those I'm talking about have come literally minutes after I write something, it's obvious whom is obsessing - obsessing about what I might write next - obsessed with their holier-than-thou attitude.
I resently delt with a seller that had a few negs. They mostly focussed on bad communication, saying he didn't answer e-mails. I had sent him an e-mail and he did reply in a timmly manner. BUT his reply was put into my SPAM FOLLDER. I don't know why this happened. I only just happened to look in there and found his reply. I also don't have any idea if this is a common problem.
As a fairly new member of the ebay community I think feedback is important. And dont leave or havent left negitive feedback for anything. So far I don't feel that I have been SCREWED. At least not intentionaly. Paul
some one mentioned a hug so heres one for the group
(Old man) Look I had a lovely supper, and all I said to my wife was, “That piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah”.
(Priest) BLASPHEMY he said it again, did you hear him?
I am a buyer. When I am required by the seller to pay some other way than by paypal, I expect that I will not be eligable for his feedback until the seller is assured that my payment is good. Whenever the sellere has "good money", it seems reasonable to me that he would post feedback.
In my experience, it usually does not work thay way. The seller generally waits until you give feedback and he gives the same. Now, I am being informed by sellers that they have an automatic setup to send me feedback if I send them positive feedback.
Up until this point, I have ALWAYS left feedback and have only on two occasions left other than positive. One a neutral simply saying the coin I received was not the coin illustrated but that i was satisfied with it. I got a neutral feedback for that one which was very negatively written such as "watch out for this guy", etc.
I left a negative recently for failure to deliver my purchase and received a negative in return. Basically, the guy said that I didn't communicate with him. I communicated with him sufficient that I received four (4) promises from him that he would return my money.
I'm quite annoyed with the current state and here is my policy from now on. I pay immediately by paypal as soon as possible, usually within an hour of the sale. If the seller insists on payment other than paypal, I have a check in the mail no later than the next day.
MY NEW POLICY: If I don't get a positive feedback from a seller when the seller has good funds, I will not leave a positive feedback EVER, even if the seller later sends me a positive feedback. If I do not receive the coin or if it is not as described, I will leave a Negative feedback and to he-- with my feedback. I don't need a big feedback, I'm a buyer.
I try to post feedback as soon as funds clear... which is the day I ship the coin. I always leave a reminder on the invoice to please leave Ebay feedback (whether it be positive or negative - it's all been positive, btw) as I have already done for them. It's worked out well thus far.

Dude, what is your problem anyway? I think you need a hug.
Dude, what is your problem and why are you so obsessed with feedback? Feedback is voluntary, and not mandatory.
