May I compare my toned Oregon to yours?

Purpose of the thread is two-fold: just received this and not sure about keeping because it's not as nice in hand as seller image, or even my poor images (ngc ms65), and I would like to see others to compare; and, I just like toned Oregons, my favorite commem along with the Columbian. Besides, we haven't had a toner thread for a day or twoimage

I wish I could -- it's one on my agenda to photo this summer, when I finally get around to working out how to do that!! image

Ah, very nice, much nicer strike and luster. This is helping.

It's really important to me, pharmer that Oregons have good detail on the bow hand--a defined thumb. That's harder to find with some dates. If the hand is basically a "glob" I pass.

    Nice Oregons.

That title kinda creeps me out a bit, esp. the with way Oregon is generally pronounced.image

How about we compare the seller's images?

This is a prime example of manipulating the images to make the coin appear to be something it is not. I refuse to manipulate images like this, no matter what anyone says.

Thanks all, the seller has very quickly and nicely said I may return it for full refund.

So, it's back to the drawings boards in the search for a nice toned Oregon.

  • I'm sure your photos are more accurate than the obviously messed with ones
from the seller, but I'll the coin does show some nice colors when you tilt it
    around in the light.

Do send it back, though, if you're not happy with the coin as it probably won't
look any better to you next week or next year.

How about we compare the seller's images?

Man, a little overboard on the contrast eh?

Not to mention the color saturation. I sent a Morgan back to this seller last summer for the same reason. I will say they were gracious taking the return and I had no hassles getting my money back.
