I haven't bought a pack of new cards in years. I thought with cards in packs like that or foil packs it was hard or impossible to search a pack these days. Now that pack looks like someone put air in it. Please explain.

It's pretty sad that card collecting has come to this.

Luckily for those collecting Heritage, Topps has made it a little harder for the pack searcher this year. Whether inadvertant or intended.
The autos are not thicker than the regular cards and the cert stamp is closer to the center and harder to reach for the searcher scum.
The chrome and refractors are sometimes curved so can be felt easily, but not all are like this.
GU and relic pieces, some of these being autos also, are thicker so the weasels can get these. They also could get a checklist which is always in the same spot in the pack.

It is nice to know that not all of the desired SPs and inserts are going to the low lifes, but it still very unfortunate.
If you see one of these slugs please give them a rap in the mouth for me.

I have not noticed a pattern with Heritage, and most Topps products for that matter, but most boxes have a specific pattern that once you learn it there is no need to search the packs. 2004 Playoff Honors the second pack from the front ALWAYS contains an auto or GU card.

I agree most of the guaranteed packs are probaly from searchers, there is one who buys enough cases to lead me to think he is just learning the pattens. He never lists Topps products though.

All I can say is maybe this will put an end to these stupid inserts and let the card companies focus on plain old baseball cards.

...and for $4.51 they'll get a game used bat card of lance berkman they'll be able to sell for $1. They are getting what they deserve.

Look - I don't know about this particular seller. But, the other "major" seller of "guaranteed" GU packs on Ebay (2 Id's, 1 seller) is selling resealed packs. He puts cheap GU cards into the packs, and reseals them. This is a proven fact, and I would not be suprised to find out this auction is the same thing. Do not waste your money here.
