    I thought it was a lock 67FS???
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Where's the thread with all of the guesses? It's a $75-100 coin in that grade, a fine score even if it doesn't mean you suck. image

That's why I asked for the link to the old thread. I said it was a lock for a 65 with a shot at 66.

I sure wish I had my 66 back now, I'd crack it and resubmit.

Do you really think sending it express would have helped its chances of getting ms67?

Well, good for you... I was one of those MS65FS grades... I guess the picture didnt do that coin justice.

I always get hammered on express submissions. It is so expensive you can't send in any other context coins and I never get the benefit of the doubt. Ksteel, I would send it in with some other 66's that are not as nice on an econ regrade at least once if you really think it has a shot at 7.

I purcahsed this coin and I rcvd it today. All I can is oh my gawd this thing was just hammered in the strike. The reverse is so well struck that if you put it in a roll of 2003 D's you would not be able to tell the difference. Simply the most amazing strike on any jefferson pre 64. I have never seen such clear steps, except on some hammered 43-Ds' Thanks Ken!
  • I agree with seanq: it's a nice score regardless - congrats!image
  • Hey, Thanks.

That's why I had done a short thread about this coin before I went back to the coin shop where I had seen it at and purchased it. The coin just stood out like no other coin has ever stood out to me!image
  • My 80D stood out too. 65FS Indeed!! image
