1913 Type 1 Buffalo Nickel doubled profile......

Well...I have one and not sure what to do with it. Evidently it is listed in a couple of "Varieties and Oddities" books, but have not been able to get my hands on one.

Anything special about it? Should I send it out to be graded, and if so, will the doubling be noted? Any info would be GREATLY appreciated!!! THANKS!!!!

    Welcome to the forums!

First of all, do you have an image of the coin you can post?

    Is the coin mint state?

Many of these doubled profiles don't have any real premiums. In fact, there are a few dates that are not uncommonly seen with doubled profiles.

  • My camera is not the best at taking coin pictures. The picture I just took is too large for attaching. The coin has full horn, but slight wear on it.
  • Thanks for the welcome and reply!! Seems like there is a great group of people in here and always willing to help. Hoping to contribute when I can. Kinda new to it all, and for some reason really stuck on the Buffalos!!! image)
  • Spoke with a coin dealer about it...says he should have some info for me tomarrow. Will post what I find out. Thanks for your help!!!
