Horrible Heritage Break!

I just bought a hobby box at the local card shop and it was horrible! Almost every single pack had 2 of the same player. One pack was so bad that it had 3 players and then the same 3 players right after it in the same pack. Out of the entire box, 28 players were duplicates. I think the minimum for doubles was 4 of one player and the max was 8. At least I was lucky enough and got a decent regular refractor (Pujols) but trying to do anything towards a set was a total wash!

what is that a flashback to 1989??
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

Must be, it's sad when around 40% of the box is duplicates, especially when Heritage is for set builders. I think I have around 67 I need to send in that I had 4 or more of (keeping one, sending in the rest) I also had a couple more that I had 3 of, but I don't think they would replace those.

What are the reasons that Topps will accept for sending cards back? Do you just ding them yourself when needed?

this is not good news but it is news that we want to hear. I have been lucky so far and have had near perfect coallation on all
my boxes and the few retail packs that I have been able to nail, actually it is so good that if you hit the same run in a box you
will have only doubles on the short prints.

I have also noticed that the coallation on the new age inserts suck like last year...it started off decent, but I have now 4 Ivan Rodriguez's
and only 3 other ones! That sucks

Heritage retail should be out this week...I hope it is good!

I pulled 3 Joe Bell's out of one pack and 11 out of the same box. I don't care however. Between 3 hobby boxes and 2 retail boxes so far I am 75 cards short of the base set. Plus I pulled a Paul Minner Blue auto out of one of the hobby boxes. A couple more trips for retail and I will be ready to trade in full force image

I had the exact same issue from 2 hobby boxes I picked up at the local card store. I thought it was de ja vu, two packs - back to back, with the exact same cards. Has anyone else noticed really bad quality control on some of these cards, as well? I have a few that look like the surface was ripped up in a sorter or something, others with badly bent corners. Bad boxes, or is this a known issue?
